    Yes, some of the financial instruments have more value than the other. For instance Securities are financial instruments which have more value than the debt instruments.

      Value is a broad term; factors of value include face value, rate of return, liquidity and security.  Value will be determined by all of these things.  Junk bonds would be an example of an instrument of low value as they are not secure and depending on the terms of issue not very liquid either.  Shares of "blue chip" stocks have a good return, are very liquid, and are as secure as any non-government backed instrument in existence - usually a good value.
