We just brought home a puppy and our dog is his dad. When we introduced the two it was as if they were long lost pals. They play and run and our dog seems genuinly concerned about the puppy. If the pup cries about anything our dog is right there. I've even seen our dog putting his front paw on the pups shoulder. It's really cute. If the breed matters they are a pit mix.

What a wonderful sight that must be, to see them together!!! Wow, your question really makes me think.........it may be possible that he knows it's his son.....maybe it's like the maternal instinct a female dog or cat would feel towards their 'child'......and that male dogs have the same thing; a 'paternal' instinct!!!.a most unusual and thought-provoking question!!!!

I don't think he know but he probably want to know so you should tell him i know he is a dog but he don't know
