How Big A Turbine To Run For One House?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A turbine is the name of a rotary engine which removes energy from a fluid which is flowing. The term was created by Claude Burdin at the time of an engineering competition in the year 1828. The simplest turbines consist of one movable component and a rotor assembly, which is basically a shaft possessing blades. The fluid in motion acts on the blades, which in turn act in response to the flow, so that they spin and pass on energy to the rotor. The earliest instances of simple turbines are windmills and water wheels.

The size of a turbine to be fitted into a house for domestic purposes depends on the size of the house, as well as the nature and amount of energy for which the turbine will be used.
