Answer Question

London is a city of great monuments which include palaces, churches, and other places of profound historic importance. There are a huge number of churches in London, most of these relatively new as many were destroyed in the great fire of 1666. A tourist may not have the time or the inclination to visit most of them. However one should not leave London without visiting the St Paul's Cathedral and the Westminster Abbey.
The Westminster abbey is the church of prime importance as all royal coronations and ceremonies including state weddings and funerals are held in this church. In 1981 Diana, Princess of Wales got married in this church. It is also a magnificent building with breathtaking beauty. It also has Royal Chapels and resting place for most of the medieval monarchs since the thirteenth century.
The St. Paul's cathedral was completed in 1710 and is a truly magnificent church and can be called a masterpiece. People have been worshipping at this site for the last 1400 years. This church was designed by a great British architect by the name of Sir Christopher Wren.  It is the seat of the Bishop of London.
