Has Anyone Given An "open House" Bridal Shower?
My sisters and I would like have an "open house" bridal shower for my niece? Everyone seems so busy nowadays. Is this tacky? Appropriate? We don't want it to seem like drop off your gift and leave...Any ideas? Thanks much!

Actually an open house Bridal shower can look like a gift taking ceremony if you are not careful enough. You would need to portray that you are arranging an open house for the convenience of the people and you want them to meet the bride to be. The best thing as per etiquette is that you arrange for a specific time period like two hours in the afternoon or so. Then arrange some light refreshments, drinks and/or tea etc. And clearly mention on the envelope that you would like to have Mr. So and so for the Open house bridal shower. Feel free to visit between so and so timings for any snacks or and tea etc.
