    Cheltenham is a spa city and borough that is located in Gloucestershire, England, near Gloucester and Cirencester. This town is situated on the edge of the Costswolds. It is also known as the Cheltenham Spa. It carries a motto along with it that states: Salubritas et Eruditio ("Health and Education"). It carries along with it an identity of being 'respectable' and wealthy or, simply, posh. The people of this town are called "Cheltonians" and this town comprises of a population of 110,013.

    The districts of Cheltenham comprise of  Benhall, Charlton Kings, Fairview, Hesters Way, Leckhampton, Montpellier, Pittville, Prestbury, The Reddings, Rowanfield, St Marks, St Paul's, Swindon Village, Up Hatherley, Whaddon and Wymans Brook. Some of the recent merges of Cheltenham are Swindon, Up Hatherley, Leckhampton and Prestbury, which were earlier the parishes of the borough of Tewkesbury.
