The Hardy Boys casefiles is written by Franklin Dixon. This series was first written in the year 1987 and the first book was titled dead on target. Unlike the other series, here the boys, Frank and Joe Hardy are older.

Since this book is meant to attract an older crowd. The main features that one will find in this series, is that the boys are more interested in girls. They are also more serious about their work, which gets even more dangerous and now the boys use guns for their investigations. In these books there are no illustrations, unlike the previous book series.

And you get to witness some mild swearing too. There are over one twenty books in this series and quite a lot of them became best sellers. The lat book was titled dead in the water and released in the 1998.
