How Much Should I Pack For A Seven-day Holiday When There Will Be Warm Days And Cool Evenings?

Packing for seven days can be a real challenge! It can also be fun seeing how many different combinations you can make into totally different outfits.

If you plan to do anything where you will be required to dress  up, you could take "no iron" dresses that have a matching sweater or jacket. These extra tops can also be used on cooler days with a  pair of slacks or jeans.

I would plan any sweaters, blouses or tops of a color that can blend with any bottoms that you take along so you can switch them around and will not have to pack as many.

Scarves, and simple jewellery take little space, and can simply change the appearance  of an outfit. Many dresses or slack sets come with three pieces so you can wear as much or as little as needed to make yourself comfortable.

I would take mostly wash and  wear so if you start to run short of things to wear you can drop them into the washer in a motel, or sometimes I have already washed them out by hand in my room. Most motels now days do have an iron in them.

One of the secrets of good holiday packing is to think about clothes that can be layered. If you are going to be out for a lot of the day and don't have much time to change in the evenings you can put on an extra layer such as a wrap , cardigan or sweater.

Wraps are worth taking as they look good with just about anything from evening dresses to a pair of jeans.
Take at least one 'posh' item in case you have an extra special evening. If you plan to have an active holiday take enough tops and bottoms to cover seven days in case it rains and drying facilities are limited.
