Cardiff is located on the south coast of Wales. It is the capital of Wales even. Cardiff gained prominence and became famous after the early nineteenth century, when the industries were set up here and Cardiff also became one of the chief ports for the transportation of coal.

Cardiff was transformed into a city in the year 1905 and declared the capital of Wales in the year 1955. Cardiff generally has a growing population, which is estimated to be around 321,000 as off 2006, with an approximate increase of 10,000 people from the previous census which were recorded in the year 2001. The ruling body has declared that there will be an approximate growth of sixteen thousand people by 2011. The records obtained from the census are said to be highly divisive, the city council had presented two reports which highly argue the 2001 census records.
