    Sounds like you got more cold water pressure than hot water pressure. You might want to try equal out the amount of pressure from both sides.Or check the hot and cold open&shut off valves in the handels making sure they open and close the same.

      It sounds like you have a single handle shower valve/faucet. Turn off the water to the house. Open a faucet in the bathroom. Disassemble the cartridge from the valve starting with the handle. As you disassemble, try to learn what the parts do. I think the stem the handle connects to needs to be rotated or the cartridge is not seated properly or not fully assembled in the valve. If you do need to remove the cartridge you may fix it accidentally while reinstalling it.
