Does It Seem Like Retail Service Is Getting Worse These Days?

Answer Question

I agree Pencil - retail service is getting worse.  Some are completely clueless when it comes to giving a good customer service.  I often wonder who trained the people!  Good businesses I recommend - bad ones I never use again and tell my friends of my experiences.

The French would not put up with bad service.  English people are inclined to moan and do nothing.  I feel that is why so many businesses are failing.

The biggest change around here outside of the actual jobs are that the major retail stores are not keeping their neighborhood stores up to date or should i say keep them the way they use to be as a major part of the community. Whenever i go into the older stores around here it is like walking into a morgue/ghost town. Some stores have even let their original stores(the very first store that started the business) go under or just plain sold them off. It's a shame that companies no longer value their history. But i guess just like everything else in this world they have adopted the mentality of get rid of it if it does not have the attention of the flash in the pan thinkers of today. Just like what they do to employees anymore. Get as much as you can out of them and then can them just before retirement so they can make even more profit on the backs of their workers.people wonder why america is going down the toilet when they have adopted the work practices of other countries that treat the people as consumable product instead of a human being.sorry ,but the retailers/companies  are getting exactly what they deserve for their past actions while chasing the dollar they have forgotten that the people are the consumers also and when the consumer realizes the company does not care for their employees they stop shopping with them. Sort of got off topic there but maybe not. : ).oh one more note wendy's (yes the burger shop) sold off one of their oldest restaraunt locations and then wonder what the customer is thinking when they start selling off some of their oldest holdings.seems like since ole dave past away they have been letting the company go down hill. It mite be a mental thing but it seems like even the hamburgers have lost the taste/flavor they had when dave was alive. I guess it feels like the family is letting his beliefs fall to the way side. Just my opinion but this is how it feels sometimes. It's like america is so busy chasing the buck that they have forgotten the community/the people. I could go on but i am tired of typing, later.
