I have had a pessary placed for my bladder, when I stand for long periods of time at work the pain becomes unbearable in the vaginal and anal area. Why is this happening?

Most common side effects of pessary used for bladder control are irritations and vaginal discharge with odor. The pain in vaginal area is not documented. Patient compliance with these pessaries is 42-100%. So it is not 100% alternative of surgery. Discuss this with your doctor because some side effects appear in few peoples and these are not documented. So visit your doctor.
