Should I Go Back To The Hospital If My Pain Is Consistant In My Lower Abdomen?

Answer Question

It would very much depend on any treatment and advise that you were given the last time you went to the hospital.  It would also depend on what you went for.  There are many causes of lower abdominal pain such as chronic wind, constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Menstral problems, Kidney Stones, urinary Tract Infection and more seriously Bowel Obstruction, Appendicitis, Food poisoning and Crohns desease.  Without knowing what you were previously treated for, it is very difficult to know what to advise.  There are many more things that could cause lower abdominal pain, but if it is enough to cause any sort of concern then it is always a good idea to seek some kind of medical assistance, even if it is only to put your mind at rest.  After all, if a person has some kind of reassurance, sometimes that is enough to put things into perspective and although the pain might still be there through something like IBS you will have had a second opinion and perhaps have been given some more direction in how to deal with the pain.  In short, if you are dealing with pain, seek advise.
