    1 pound = 16 ounces
    1 ounce = 1.805 cubic inches
    So in  1 pound = ? Cubic inches
    1 pound = 16 ounces x cubic inches
    1 pound = 16 x 1.805
    =28.88 cubic inches

      It would depend on the density of the item since a pound is a weight measurement and not a volume measurement. I am not sure i am understanding your question. Different items(metal/wood/plastic) would  have different weights for it's volume/ size. Now if you we're talking about a given liquid(fluid ounce) water then you could go by what jannifer gave you. Any solids that are added to the liquid would change the weight of the liquid ex: Paint/glues/oils. You would have to have a materials safety data or product sheet for the different liquids for the weight/volume of each product.
