You can't wash the smell off a kitten... And you need to get rid of the fleas.  Get as many friends as you can to help.  Do mom cat very thoroughly first, then put her to a different room with a new set up for her and the kittens... Keep her away from the kittens now until they've been cleaned.  Make sure you have a flea shampoo safe for young kittens... There is a difference!  Then do the kittens one at a time, keeping the others together. Move as carefully and efficiently as possible... keep them warm, rinse them really well, and dry them as well as you can.   If you have several people, have others drying while you're washing to speed things up. The most important thing is to make sure they don't get chilled.  As soon as one is dried as well as possible... Move it in with mom to keep it warm.  Have a heating pad on standby in case she's nervous and won't stay put.  Once all the kittens are back with their mom, shut her in the room with them and leave them alone for a couple of hours to get over the trauma. Then fight the fleas in the old area... Good luck.

Personally, I would never bath or use any kind of flea products or shampoos on a nursing mom or kittens under 8 weeks old. Their are other ways of handling the flea problem. First clean mom up as good as you can by using a flea comb. Have a cup or bowl of soapy water right next to you and when a flea comes out of the fur, quickly dunk the comb into the water, the soap with both hold and kill the fleas. This takes a lot of effort but it does work. Then do the same thing with the babies. Be very gentle handling them but you do it the same way. Then get a couple of large boxes of 29 mule team Borax and sprinkle it everywhere, carpets, furniture, in and around every crack and crevic. The Borax dries out any dampness that might be around and also dehydrates the fleas and they all die. Leave the powder on the floors and furniture for at least 24 hours, then if you want to you can vacuum up the powder, but if you can stand it, leave as much of it down as you can. Especially under furniture and cushions. To keep the fleas away add a few drops of vinegar to the water bowl, strengthening it to 1/2 teaspoon each day. The fleas will not get on your cat or dog!!! Make sure to make fresh water every day! Problem gone and nothing harsh or expensive used!!!
