My Kitten Won't Eat And Is Scared, What Could Be The Problem?
I have just got a kitten yesterday, I think it's been living outside because it seems to be terrified of people and it doesn't even come over to us it hides in the smallest places possible. It's not eating or drinking either or going to the toliet. And it's very shaky. Can some one help me please!
She is suffering from separation anxiety as most of cats suffer from this disease. It can have heat stroke so you need to take it to vet to get its checkup. change its diet and note the results.
If your car was a ferral kitten , it is probably suffering from separation anxiety. Yes you should take it to a vet to make sure that it is healthy. Depending on the age of this kitten, give it a place to hide in, give it some good dry food softened with a little water, a bowl of water, a blanket to make a soft and warm bed and give it time to adjust to you and your family. This may take some time but just be patient and all will turn out just fine. Oh by the way, DO NOT GIVE milk. Milk give kittens a very bad case of diareha.
Hiya
I have two kittens and at first they were like your kitten after a lot of comfort and play they calmed down. Or it is the fact that your kitten is lonely. If your kitten does not improve take him or her to the vets and tell them what is worrying you.
I hope this helps let me know what happens.
The kitty is probably too young to be away from its mother. If it is very small you may need to go to the pet store and ask them for some formula to feed it if it is not eating kitten food. Your best bet is to take it to the vet of course, but if you can't afford that, just call and ask them it can't hurt. It is probably a wild cat, and of course it is scared in a new environment.
