Hemsby is a small village situated in the English county of Norfolk. Hemsby is also a civil parish and a sea side resort. It is placed approximately twelve kilometres north of the town of Great Yarmouth.

The civil Parish is spread over a total area of 7.14 square kilometres. According to the census conducted in the year 2001 the total population of Hemsby was two thousand nine hundred and seventy in approximately one thousand two hundred and twenty one domestic houses. For governing purpose the parish comes under the district of Great Yarmouth. A Norfolk county map approximately designed in 1610 gives details of a promontory, which was known as Winterton Ness, which use to expand till the sea towards the north-east of Hemsby. Now this promontory has completely disappeared due to coastal erosion.
