    The Freshwater Fish Burbot Is Extinct In Britain And Hasn't Been Caught Since The 1960s.Perhaps They Have Been Caught By A Fisherman Somewhere And No-one Knows About It. Do You Know Of Anybody Who Has Caught A Burbot Since They Have Been Classified As Extinct?

    It was a long time ago, over 10 years now, but my husband and I had caught them when we were fishing for salmon. We thought it was funny, because they don't usually bite on spinners. I believe you can still fish for them here, this is Alaska by the way, and it was in Talkeetna, on a river trip. Had no idea that they were supposed to be extinct though. I guess there are plenty of them up here. Hope this helps.
