This Question Is Answered:
 What is error code 0x80070052?
Whenever I want to transfer images from my Vista or XP laptop to a nonU3 or U3 jump drive, my computer sends about 3-400 images to the jump drive and then says unexpected error is preventing the operation. It then gives me the error code 0x80070052 and says the directory or file cannot be created..Help!

This seems to be an issue with regard to NTFS and FAT file systems. Other people seem to encounter the problem when transferring files. Make sure that both drives are using the same filesystem or format the jump drive to match the filesystem.

It appears that flash drives can only make so many files in the root directory. Instead of creating all the files in the root, make directories and put the files in the directories. This should solve your problem
