I thing your dog is having cystitis that is caused by a bacterial infection. It reaches the bladder and can even reach the kidneys or even to other body parts through infection. Its reasons can be different such as:

It retains urine for long due to stone or tumors or due to nerve damage from spinal cord.
Deficiency of vitamin A and other important nutrients.
    Sugar in urine.

You should try to add salt to its food and increase its intake of water. Its treatment includes Antispasmodics, and urinary antiseptics. If the problem persists or recurring then Urinary acidifiers are given.

It sounds like your baby has a bladder infection of some kind. You need to take your dog to the vet asap.
