It can only benefit them because some clients will only hire them ( your company)if the people working for them have a degree. Which means absolutely nothing as anyone fresh out of college doesn't know squat. My wife has been a controller for a company for 15 years before they moved overseas. She can put to shame any three degreed people but because she doesn't have the piece of paper, she is having a hard time finding work that pays what she's worth. School doesn't teach you how to run a company in the real world. It'll benefit you as the know nothings will hire you for that paper but will soon lay you off when they see you can't perform the smalls task. It's a catch 22.
