Is The Queen Of England Head Of The Anglican Church?

I am confused as to whether the Anglican Church is the same as the Church of England. Some sites say that Anglican is just another name for the Church of England and some say that the Church of England is a different branch belonging to the Anglican Church.

    The Anglican Church has historical connections with the Church of England. In fact the name Anglican means of England. It began in the 6th Century in England and is separate from the Roman Church. It is also separate from the Church of England and the role of the queen is limited to appointment of bishops only in Wales and England. For more details see the link below:

      The Queen heads the anglican church.WIth the Church of England being the head church of the anglican union.
