All you will need is some string.
Attach the string to the object and then hang the object by the string. Take note of the direction or path that the string takes.
Next attach the string at a different place on the object. Hang it again. Take note of the string like before.
If the object is 2 dimensional take note of where the strings cross. This is the location of the CG.
If the object is 3 dimensional you will have to do this a third time. Where the strings intersect is the CG.
