    Seychelles is a nation comprising of a number of small islands, situated off the eastern coast of Africa. It is famous for its natural beauty featuring a warm and sunny climate, pristine beaches and a unique flora and fauna; it is a popular tourist destination attracting tourists from all parts of the world.

    The islands are home to a wide variety of wildlife with four species of marine turtles found nowhere else on Earth found on the islands beaches. The giant tortoise is found here along with several species of rare birds like the magpie robin, the warbler, the Scops Owl, the black paradise flycatcher that was believed to be extinct and the white throated rail the only flightless bird in this part of the world; the islands themselves are home to thousands of sea birds.

    Seychelles has a number of national and marine parks and reserves with the Island of Aldabra and the Vallee de Mai being declared as World Heritage sites by UNESCO. The surrounding coral reefs at Aldabra house a number of interesting marine creatures like sharks and rays among others.
