***I AM NOT an expert or a doctor of any kind *** but I do remember some things from biology and other science classes. There are recessive genes and there are dominant genes. The dominant gene for hair colour in India is black and the recessive gene is white/grey. If both parents have the right combination of genes the recessive gene will be the one that shows itself. Like the grey hair that you observed in these small children. In other words it's genetic.

***Another reason could be nutrition. Poor nutrition can cause hair loss, poor skin quality, dullness in your hair, and maybe even lack of colour in the hair, etc.

***It possibly could be a sign of a more serious condition. I would not think that unless in observing the child there are other things that raise medical questions in which case I would as the parent get an exam for my child.

    ***I hope this helps you.
