The Narragansett Indians were deeply affected by war and though they had no direct involvement in it. The reason for attacking them was that they gave shelter to other tribes who were involved in war and sometimes they themselves participated in the war with the banner of some other tribes.
When the colonial force marched towards them, they retreated themselves in a fort. But with the help of an Indian, the colonial force attacked the Narragansett and they had a very hard fight gone over there. The scholars believe that approximately three hundred Indians were killed in the war and the fort was also burnt. When the Narragansett tribes had no other option left with them, they joined the insurgency and take away the lives of many of the colonial officers.
