How Do I Close A Dialog Box?

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition. I try to open my resume file that was saved and it says I have a dialog box that needs to be closed first. How do I do that?

    Minimize all the windows and you should come to the open door. You can also press the Alt key and the Tab button and this will let you walk through all the open doors when there X marks the spot.

    iS THERE SOMETHING ELSE THAT WILL CLOSE THE DIALOG BOXES BECAUSE THAT DOES NOT WORK. WHEN I PRESS ALT AND TAB IT DOES NOTHING. I'M USING WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION. MY SYSTEM WAS RECOVERED AND NOW I CAN'T OPEN ANY OF MY DOCUMENTS THAT WERE CREATED IN WORD,NOTEPAD. ALL OF MY FILES WERE EVEN BACKED UP AND I CANT OPEN THEM EITHER. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Hello,
      Dear you just press alt+ctrl+del Task manager will be opened here you check which processes are running on ur computer End Process the Dialog Box Process, Then you'll be able to open ur resume file.
