My Cat Starts Losing His Hair, Why?

I have one year old cat that starts losing his hair over the neck and head. Know he is completely bald over his neck, and there are red Grains on his skin and that itches him.
Please I want to know if it’s a flea’s disease or if it’s an ear problem.
Also I want to know if I can use a flea collar or not?

It sounds like this problem is getting fairly serious for the health of your cat.  I would probably take him to the vet and have him examined by a professional.  It sounds like it could be ringworm that is affecting your cat.  It would cause red patterning on the skin and hair would fall out around the infected area.  It could also be allergies.

This sounds like a case of ringhworm or dermatitis.  If you are not seeing fleas or the black grainy "dirt" that they leave behind then it probably is not fleas.  Take your cat to the vet and have them culture the scabs for the ringworm.  In the meantime ringworm is contagious to other pets and humans so take precautions by cleaning thoroughly with bleach and water to kill spores that easily spread in your home.  This is a big nuisence or a fungus and can recure over and over.
