How Is Climate Change Affecting Polar Bears?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Climate change is affecting polar bears by reducing the amount of ice in the arctic because of warm temperatures. Every year the amount of ice is decreasing. Polar bears need this ice to hunt and if they don't have it , they will surely starve. Sure , they can swim , but they can't live in the water. Most of them are left stranded on certian pieces of ice , waiting for it to reach land or a bigger part. Sometimes they can be stranded for ages at a time , which means they can't really do anything except wait. For thier prey though , seals , this is excellent for they do not have to hide as much and can swim underneath them. I just wish something was done ages ago by the government to stop this before it got as bad as this =(
