What Is Graphic Design?

Graphic design in the whole can be defined as the procedure or promoting messages or information by using different images in different styles. It is a kind of visual communication. Graphic design includes the typography (The craft of composing type and printing from it), development of image, and the page layouts.

Graphic design can be useful in design communication and different categories of fine arts. Graphic design was conventionally applied to the static printing media like books and brochures etc. But now with the invention of computers, graphic designs are now being utilized in electronic media and also referring different applications regarding multimedia. After the Gutenberg (German printer who was the first in Europe to print using movable type and the first to use a press (1400-1468)), we can observe a slow evolution rather than any vital and significant change. In late 90s the two fields fine arts and the applied arts are distinguished separately.

There are so many different steps and stages which involve in order to produce graphic designs. These stages can comprise of creative and imaginative briefs, undertaking researches, visualizing research thoughts and ideas, laying out the whole design and then the final and concluding groundwork for artwork for printing and managing printed reproduction.

It is the combination of complex pictures, drawings, words, illustrations, charts, graphs, animation (interactive objects) use to display advertisements, to handle business meetings, publishing, movies or any fields of arts effectively. It is the practical art. Or in other words it is the modern source of visual communication. Just like any other art. It is also the tool of desktop publishing. Nowadays it has so many graphic packages are available which you can use in computer to design, animate or publish any object even business cards, logos, signs, posters, brochures, websites images and banners which are use for advertisement, television cartoons, and animated movies. New technology in the field of film industry is working with graphic designing materials specially making movies for children.. It has some elements which work on shapes, lines mass, color and textures. It also includes lines and space. it could be static and animated objects.

Nowadays it is very popular in computer world almost every websites are using graphic designing in different ways. It is also use engineering and medicine fields.

Graphic design is basically a computer based term. When you create certain images by using different kinds of tools .These tools can be your hands, your eyes and the most important and creative tool is your mind. At the time of doing graphic design all these tools are just playing there part.

Nowadays the graphic designers are also called as graphic artists. They are professional with in graphics other kind of graphic art, what they do is, they just create different sort of graphic work for electronic printed and published media. Graphic designing is a process of communication on visual basis using text or images to present information or for the purpose of promotion of certain kind of message. . It includes skills and crafts including topography, image development and also page layout. Like other forms of communication there are also two forms of graphic designs as graphic designing refer to both the process as deigning you are creating something, and the product design such as creative solutions images and multimedia  compositions. Now a day as personal computer is so much common graphic designing is using in electronic media as well often called as multimedia designs. There are also some kind of tools such as pencils and markers they are known as traditional tools.

This is not a question I would expect to find in science & technology. Graphic design is commercial art. You may be designing advertisements, billboards, newspaper ads and the like.
