What Jobs Are There For Under 16's In Orange County?

Answer Question

Orange County California?  Orange Co. FL?  Orange county somewhere else?

Wherever you live in the Western world, you'll be limited in the kinds of jobs you do, and the amount of hours.  You probably can't work more than 8 hours, and even then only on non-school days (and probably not on Sundays, either).  You can't work with hazardous materials, food, alcohol or machinery.  You may have a lower wage rate.  You may not be allowed to do hardly any hours at all on school days.

When I was 15, I printed out a load of notes about casual work, and stuck them in the letter boxes of every house within half a mile of my home.  The notes said that I was available for babysitting, gardening, house-cleaning, car-washing and cleaning, lawn-mowing, reading to blind little old ladies, etc.   Don't forget to include your phone number.  Try to get some references (people you've babysat for, before).  I got a lot of work that way, including a regular after school baby sitting job.

If you go that route, make sure you get your parents to help check out anybody who phones up, offering you work.  Just for your own safety.

Otherwise, your high school should have a careers advice office(r) who can give you job leads in your local area, as well as rules and reqs.  Look at any vacation places, like amusement parks, to see if they do seasonal hiring of under 16s, for the summer vacation.
