There is some problem in your mp4, get it repaired from a nearby technician preferred the brand's one as you have not mentioned the name of the company I cannot recommend you suggestions except to get it checked from some one physically.

I would try reset your mp4 player and remove all of your mp3 player accessories, Try restarting it and see if it works. If it doesn't, then you might need to call the manufacturer.
