What Does Electromagnetic Mean?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The word electromagnetic is defined as objects which are made magnetic by an electric current. Electromagnetic forces pertain to the magnetic forces that are created by electricity. Television signals are transmitted on certain frequencies within an electromagnetic spectrum. The allocation of these frequencies is managed and regulated in the United Kingdom. The body that is authorised for the purpose of regulating the allocation of these frequencies in the United Kingdom is known as the Radio Communications Agency.

The kinetic and potential energy associated with electric charges (for example, electrons) and their movement also come under the purview of electromagnetic objects. Electromagnetic waves show the relationship between the forces of electricity and magnetism. These waves move in regular patterns. They include X-rays, light, radio waves and ultraviolet rays. The electromagnetic spectrum arranges these waves in the ascending order of their lengths, that is from the shortest wave to the longest wave.
