When Do Chinchillas Go In Heat?

Male chinchillas get mature at the age of five months but female gets mature sexually when it reaches the age of eight months, but the fact is when female Chinchilla reaches the age of six months it starts going into heat every twenty five to thirty five days. It gives birth to young one thrice a year, four at a time. Its gestation period after mating lasts for maximum one hundred and twenty days.
