    In UK the term postcode is being used to describe postal code that is alphanumeric. When you delve into the details about what the codes, say you will find interesting information inside it. The constituent of the code include an out code that represents the area and the district and the other factor that is called in code has sectors and unit as its constituents.
             
    When it comes to the use of postcodes, they play a vital role in delivering mails from one place to another. If somebody is not using this code it might happen that his mail lost in the way as the address you would have written can have a another place with similar name and that can create confusion. So I would recommend you to always write post code while sending any mail as it ensures proper delivery.
