How Do I Find A Code Key For A Xp Cd I Am Trying To Load In My Computer?
It is a different cd no longer the one that can with it and i don't have the code key and Sony whats $100 to fix it the computer is a lap top and not worth it however if it can work we can use it is there a generic code key i can use?

If the original software is still installed on your laptop, there is a free program called siw.exe that will tell you the codes for xp and other installed packages. If you cannot boot the laptop and you have a floppy drive, go to a friends pc with xp and format a bootable floppy. No floppy, no problem get Barts PE Builder to build a bootable CD. You will probably have to change your boot drive sequence in setup.
