love the picture!!!!! my favorite color!!! an albino hummer wow i have never seen one like that!!!!kool!!!!
I see them every spring and fall. My wife and I have feeders hanging around our yard and porch, so we often just sit and watch them feed. They can be very territorial too, as one will chase another away if one is feeding and the second one approaches the same feeder.
One little tidbit about Hummers is, they are the only bird that can fly backwards. And they are just so cute and amazing to watch.
We do enjoy the hummingbirds and cardinals the best around the yard.

Hi, rossignol, I hope this works. My niece forwarded this hyperlink to me last fall. I just clicked on it, and it worked for me still. Awesome hummer shots! Yes, I feed hummingbirds, but I've never seen them like this! I want that camera!

Wow, really cool pictures! I took a couple of pictures with my cell phone of eggs in the nest. It really is so much fun to watch these tiny birds.
My parents have a couple of feeders in their covered back patio.
A couple of years ago, some hummingbirds built a nest on a wind chime
that hangs near the feeders. We saw them raise a couple of
clutches (I just looked it up and that's what you call a nest of baby
birds) from eggs till when they fledged and flew away. Each time
there were two eggs, about the size of a jelly bean. Now there
are two other nests built on other wind chimes near the side and front
of the house.
The hummingbirds are brownish with a little green iridescence and red
throats. At certain times of the year there have been smaller
brown hummingbirds. As drrogers said they are territorial and
will chase each other away from the feeders.

We see a lot of the green and red here. They visit about three flower gardens here in my neighborhood!

We gave my Mom a hummingbird feeder to enjoy at her apartment. We moved it outside her window, when she went into the nursing home. We saw many hummingbirds, and as I recall, they were somewhat multicolored. I guess it depended on whether it was a male or female. We were all very surprised at the number we saw.
