Where Is The Cornea And Iris In An Eye?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

If you look at your eye into the mirror then you will see a distinguished area, which is basically the green/grey/brown area. This area is known as the iris. Some other things that you can see are the pupil in the centre and a white sclera surrounding the iris. The overlying cornea is pictured, but is not able to be seen, as it is translucent. The iris is generally divided into two different regions namely the pupillary zone and the ciliary zone. The pupillary zone is basically the inner area, where the edge forms boundary of the pupil. The ciliary zone is the one that lies in the rest of the origin at the ciliary body.

The cornea is basically the transparent thing that is usually found in the front part of the eye. This portion usually covers the iris, pupil, and anterior chamber. This provides the eye's optical power.
