Wolverine is said to be one of the most famous mutants who shot to fame in the X-Men comic books. Although his first appearance was in 'The Incredible Hulk' it was his part in the X-Men series that made him one of the most famous mutants in the comic book world. Wolverine's real name is James Howlett but he is commonly referred to as Logan. His debut was with the Marvel comic books series and his first appearance was in the October/November issue in the year 1974. His creators are artist John Romita Sr. and writer Len Wein. Certain aspects of his personality have been added by Herb Trimpe, the creator of 'The Incredible Hulk'.
The highlights of Wolverine's character are his animal instincts and his instant ability to heal any wound that is inflicted. To add to this he also has razor-sharp retractable claws that are made out of the metal alloy adamantium.
