Is Sleeping A Disease?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Although it is not a very general happening, it does happen at times that despite of having a proper sleep in the night, one feels pangs of sleepiness in the day as well.  This type of a sleeping pattern would be categorized as a disease as it is not a normal occurrence.  For people who have this disorder, this sleepiness can overcome their senses at any time of the day, which sometimes proves to be dangerous as certain situations require one's utter concentration.  Nevertheless this disorder eradicates with the passage of time.  However in some cases, the intensity of this disorder deepens instead of reducing, which also affects the body's psychological balance as well as the physical buildup too.  Psychologically, one starts imagining things, which are nothing but apocryphal illusions while on the physical front, the body feels weak and devoid of energy.  This situation enervates the overall makeup of a person and should be attempted to control as soon as this disorder is detected.

Being sleepy can be a sign of something more serious like anaemia (lack of iron) or chronic fatigue syndrome (this disease also is accompanied by physical pain). I'm sure there are other reasons but these two I know for sure.
