How Do I Rip A DVD Movie To VCD With Good Quality?

Answer Question

First of all, I'll state this in hopes that you are the legal owner of the DVD in question and will also be the owner of the software required for the procedure, which goes as under:

1- Download a copy of Inter-video Win DVD copier from the inter-video website. This software will allow you to convert the files from any DVD to any format of your choice, not VCD though, because that is old media.

2- Download VCD cutter from softpedia.com and use the above converted file in the cutter to convert to VCD

Although if the playback is to be done on a computer but saving space is the criteria or using a CD instead of a DVD, then that too is possible, simply convert the DVD from the DVD copier software into a "mp4" file. At 700 MB you can receive excellent quality, if the file is greater than 700 MB, then you should change the settings of the copier software to change into this size.

Also please note: If you like these software then please buy them after their evaluation version as their creators work very hard to bring you such quality software and they deserve their efforts to be paid.

Rip the files from the disk using www.mrbass.org then point windows movie maker towards them. The AUDIO_TS file should be empty, whilst the VIDEO_TS file should contain loads of .bup, .ifo and .vob files. Those all relate to the dvd's contents.
