I think you may be confusing the refrigerated cabinets with the freezer cabinets which have doors on however if transfered to a refrigerated cabinet without doors they are probably being promoted with a buy one get one free offer which would probably mean they don't stay in the refrigerated cabinets for long enough to start thawing.
