There is no difference. Its all about the dogs genetics. Really. I have seen red nosed short and muscular pitbull. I have seen lean blue nosed pitbulls. I have a red nose and bluenose. They are COLORS not breed standards. Its has NOTHING to do with how the dog will turn out.

OK so the size of the dog has nothing to do with the color of the dogs nose. A red nose pit bull is just what people have started calling dogs that present a red coat with a red nose and a blue nose is the same with blue grey colored dogs. Neither one is more rare than the other it is just what the breeder breeds for. Just like you can breed for yellow, chocolate, or black labradors. The size of the pit bull has been messed with so much to make them look like little ugly freaks but the true pit bull is a medium sized dog that is muscular but well proportioned. Not the short and wide dogs with huge heads that are being presented as pit bulls today.

A blue nose pit should have bluish color on the belly. Red nose has a red pink color to the nose. When you buy a "blue" pit and the belly is not blue, They might tell you "oh well they will spit blue pup's" Be careful, make sure you see pic's of the parent's first!

Just the color in the nose.  A blue nose pit has a blue-ish black colored nose and a red nose pit has a red-ish colored nose.  It's like having red hair or black hair on humans.

A blue nose pit bull has a silver to gray nose and a silver tint to the coat. The Red nose pit bull's noses are red and they usually are red as well, well my two are anyways, but my male is red and blue nose and his traits are red nose all the way.

A blue nose pitbull is short, big headed and usually more muscular.A red nose is leaner, has a mid size head and taller. The blue nose is more  a show dog and a red nose was bred for fighting.Although blue have been used for fighting.I would not participate in fighting and
I hope you don't either. Both breeds are very human friendly and dog friendly as long as you socialize them as pups and as they mature.I personally own two red noses both a female and a male.I prefer them over blues. They have more energy and are real playful. The blue is still a good dog though.hope I answered something.

Yes you did thank you. One more thing my son has a pit bull and the guy he bought it from said it was part blue nose but, he is 7months old and already stands up to his knees with a long slinder body and is a sandy in color , to me he sounds more like a red than a blue. So I guess my next question would be are their noses more pinkish red than all black? I guess I'm still learning about them to.

All wrong... The difference is the color of the nose, that's it. Has nothing to do with being a short stalky dog or being a fighter. Nothing at all. As a matter of fact old family reds are some of the most saught after pits. Coming from ireland they were bred for their red noses, lips and eyes. Because of its beauty.. To show, Not to fight. Google it, and take people's opionions as just that, opinions.

Blue pits are not show dogs. If you read UKC standards, a blue color is an automatic disqualification because the blue color is due to a genetic mutation called a dilution gene. If these dogs didn't have they mutation they would be black.

It is actually what it says it is, the (leather/skin) color of their nose.  And usually their coat follows suit, i.e., red/red nose, would have a red nose and the color of their coat would be red or copper or  white and red, like that.  A blue nose would have a blue nose with a blue and white coat or blue, or blue brindle etc.,  Blue is  a dilute of black.  And IMO I feel the Blue noses most of them anyway, are larger boned that most red noses.  Blues also seem to be a little more mellow than the reds.  I was told when they bred the blue noses they bred the drive down so as not to be as hyper as the red nose.

A blue nose pit bulls have a grey coat (usually) they also have bluefawn coats wich are more rare and has a better temper then that of a red nose (dog agressive, but can do well if propperly socialized).  Red nose pit bulls are taller and usually have a red nose :) They also have a fawn or red coat (usually, based if purebred). Blue nose pit bulls are usually more delicate (allergies and coat problems) though, blue nose pits are more rare , more poppular and a bit more expensive in price. They are both great pets and fun to have. *Difference: Coat color, body form, price, and temper.  Lots of more information on breeder sites. Hope this helped answer your question :)

A blue nose pit usually has a grayish tint color for a nose and usually the fur color is the same as the nose. The same goes for the red nose pits, too (just a reddish-brown color).
