Do You And Your Family Have A Family Tradition You Like To Share?

Every summer me and my family go up to Bronx, New York to see more family.

Yes, in fact every christmas our family used to go to someone elses house to celebrate with food, prayers, and gifts, but this time, we are starting to make our own tradition right here at home.

The kids love to have homemade tacos, for dinner, and carrot cake. They never ask for anything else. Lol

Oh my goodness, this question brings back some memories.
When i was a kid, my parents took us out to see the Christmas lights and when my children were young, would load them and every other kid who wanted to go into my vehicle and we would go driving all over town to see the Christmas lights.
That is one of my favorite things to do. Great memories.

Have been meaning to answer this question since I 1st. Saw it. Most of my answer are never rated, some people get 4,5 or even 14 ratings. Do you know why that is. Our family traditions belong to my small family and they do not relate to the rest of it. I mean sister,mother, cousins, etc. We have 2 things that have been traditions for 29 yrs. At Easter we always have roast lamb for supper and again at New Years. On Christmas, all of us open our presents in pj's. The kids can't come out to see their gifts until I have watered the tree and turned on it's lights, fed the cats and put on my Xmas fancy night gown (it's really uncomfortable and I'm allergic to the fabric, so I can't sleep in it.) Their stockings are on the bottom of their beds and they open them when they get up, 3 a.m. They have their new pj's on. They get them on Xmas eve. I stay in my nightie and they love to wear their best clothes, so the dress for supper, which is always had by candle light. During storms, in the summer we take walks in heavy rain, especially thunder and lighting. We see it as a gift from God. At Christmas we want a blizzard. We're safe, warm,cozy and have nothing to do but be together. We watch the old movies, play and colour and hope the power doesn't go out. .we have a lot of traditions. I can explain them all, but they are enough for us.

Yes we used to until my parents got divorced we would all come home for Thanksgiving and Christmas

Me and my twin sister always go somewhere out of the country every summer.
