This Question Is Answered:
Can A Lease Be Broken If There Is A Sewage Back Up In An Apartment And There Is No Indication The Landlord Sanitized The Room And Did Not Fix The Leak? Only Cleared The Sewage Pipe And Replaced The Carpet.
This situation just occurred and the apartment does not appear to be healthly to live in as there was nothing done to clean up after the sewage backup other than replace the carpet.

I would contact your tenant/landlord affairs
office and file a written complaint with them
and have them give you the answer to
this problem depending on that states
laws and regulations.
