Can Dogs Get Meningitis From Humans?

    Yes there are diseases that are zoonotic (can be transmitted between humans an dogs) and can cause meningitis in people.  Some zoonotic bacterial diseases include Anthrax, Campylobacter enteritis, Capnocytophagosis,
    Enterocolic yersiniosis, Leptospirosis, Lyme Disease, Pasteurellosis,
    Rat Bite Fever, Salmonellosis, Tuberculosis and Tularemia.
    It is not very common for people to get meningitis from dogs.  If you have any human health concerns related to meningitis contact your physician immediately.

      No, it isn't a zoonotic so it can't pass from one species to another, however a bacteria can be passed which causes an infection and can lead to meningitis.
