How Do You Remove The Mowing Deck Off A John Deere Lx172 Tractor In Order To Replace The Belts?

Toward the back of the deck there are pull pins .(one on each side) Lower the deck all the way then pull the pins back one at a time and turn it to lock it. That unhooks the rear .then just slid the deck forward little to unhook the front bar .Unhook the belt (engine side ) then slide the deck out from the right side .Hope this helps you
