    Victoria Falls is a famous water falls of Africa. It is located between the nations of Zambia and Zimbabwe at their border. The entire width of the River Zambezi is the fallen span of the falls. The widest point of the Victoria Falls is about 1,700 meters. In the widest point of the falls the river forced over a rock face. Then it is divided by islands as well as promontories, to a drop of 108 meters.

    Two national parks are adjacent to the Victoria Falls. One is Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The other one is Mosi-oa-Tunya in Zambia. The Victoria Falls was recognized as a World Heritage Site in the year of 1989. In the year of 1855, the Victoria Falls was discovered. David Livingstone was the first European who had seen it. The name of the Victoria Falls had been given after the name of Queen Victoria.
