How To Define 'Calm'?

    Calm basically is an adjective and can simply be defined as, "Some thing that is completely peaceful or quiet", for example "The Sea is very calm". It is quiet often referred with weather, like free from wind or storm.

    The word originated from the French word calme, from where it came to the English language. In other languages like Spanish, Portuguese and Italian it is known as calma. Most of the system believes the word calm came from the Low Latin cauma, which meant burning heat or to burn. The Portuguese calma also follows the same meaning.

    The connexion could be the heat of the day. The world is quiet often used in the language.
