How Can I Forget The Past? Old Friend Did Very Very Mean Things To Me. She Apologized Later.
I did not care for her apology then and never spoke to her. Her family member is extremely ill now. Should i be there for her and patch up? Should i be there only till things get better? Or should i ignore her?

It depends on what she did to you. If you can look past all of the pain that she caused and you think it would help to be there for her then do it. If you can forgive her than it sounds like she needs you now. Good luck

What happened exactly? And what does your gut tell you now? When it comes to friendship and support you should go with your heart. Holding onto past angers (it's difficult to advise as to how angry you should feel without knowing the background) only causes bitterness and loneliness.
If you do choose to be there for her, you can't just be there until things get better. You need to forgive and forget. Put it behind you and move forward.

I'm not much of a supporter of apologies... Apologies never make up for the wrong that was done... They are just few words (or even deeds) that can never undone what happened!!!
